Two Sassy South Australian Songstresses don a variety of wigs, costumes & characters, hitting the stage as the Blonde Bombshells accompanied by their amazing JAZZ in CHEEK Quartet.
Bonnie Lee Galea & Kerry Reid captivate audiences from start to finish dousing you in BLONDE HIGHLIGHTS from the fabulous Doris Day, Marilyn Monroe, Rosemary Clooney, Peggy Lee, Marlene Dietrich, Dinah Shore, Betty Hutton, Blossom Dearie, Joyce Bryant and Jayne Mansfield. Singing stunning songs and dynamic duets from them all, including a couple of saucy numbers and classic quotable quips from the brilliantly candid Mae West!
Whilst adopting the personality and appearance of each Blonde Bombshell, Bonnie & Kerry sing their huge hit songs like Doris Day’s ‘Secret Love’, Peggy Lee’s ‘He’s A Tramp’, Marilyn’s ‘Happy Birthday Mr. President’ and Betty Hutton’s 1951 hit ‘Oh So Quiet’ which Bjork re-recorded in 1995. This show with its funny anecdotes and projected images bring the Blonde Bombshells and their hit songs back to life. But be warned! During the show Mae, Marlene, Jayne & Marilyn Monroe sometimes move into the audience for a bit of fun and flirtatious interaction.

FRINGE REVIEWS 2018
Dianna Taylor WOW FM ‘Local gals Bonnie Lee Galea and Kerry Reid were sassy , charming and delightfully seductive whilst taking on the personas (including some quick costume and wig changes) of some of the great jazz songstresses of the 40s-50’
Paula McManus – Weekend Notes BLONDE BOMBSHELLS OF JAZZ is great cabaret entertainment. There wasn’t a spare seat in the room and this show about the blonde stars of swing was a real crowd pleaser.
There were slinky and sparkly dresses, feather boas and gloves. There were blonde wigs and winks galore! It’s cheeky and fun and the girls can certainly belt those tunes out. The quick changes and altering of personalities struck the right balance and kept the show moving along at an interesting pace.
Audience interaction by Bonnie & Kerry provided some comic fun for those of us in the theatre, the classic wit of Mae West one-liners had everyone smiling along. This show takes us on a little trip back to the elegance and charm of a time long gone and the great music that is synonymous with the era.
